City Councilor Denise Simmons and the YWCA Cambridge are seeking applicants for the 2018-2019 8th Grade Girls Only Leadership Development Program.
As in previous years, the GOLD program is offering participants monthly lessons on social skills, in-person and online etiquette, the importance of dressing for success and making a good first impression, and the importance of planning ahead to maximize success in high school and beyond.
Participants will also get opportunities to meet with, converse, and learn from local female business owners, office-holders, and other strong female civic leaders. This program is free and open to girls who are currently in the 8th grade in Cambridge.
