City Manager Louis A. DePasquale Submits Proposed FY22 Budget to Cambridge City Council

On May 3, 2021 the City Manager submitted the proposed Operating and Capital Budgets for Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22), as well as the proposed FY23-FY26 Operating and Capital Plans.

The Operating Budget of $748,220,690 represents an increase of $8,229,275 or 1.1% over the FY21 Adjusted Budget. The proposed Capital Budget is $83,910,865.

The public is encouraged to review the budget document which contains a special joint City Manager and Mayor COVID-19 message (Section I); Consolidated Spending information across departments on key priority areas; City Council Goals; Key Initiatives for FY22; narratives for each Department (Section V); and FY22 Capital projects (Section VI).

There will be public hearings on the FY22 budget at the City Council Finance Committee on Tuesday, May 11th 9 A.M., Tuesday, May 18th 10 A.M., Wednesday, May 19th, 6 P.M. (School Department). Link to Open Meeting Portal

The projected budget adoption date is Monday, June 7th, 2021
