Cambridge Arts will begin accepting grant applications for the 2020-2021 cycle on Oct. 1, 2021. All links to apply will go live that day. Check back then to access application portals. Deadline: Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, by 11:59 p.m.

Grant Application Guidelines

• Art for Social Justice Grants (click link for guidelines): $7,500
Art for Social Justice Grants support projects that present the themes and ongoing work of social justice to the Cambridge public through the arts. Apply at https://cos.slideroom.com.

Local Cultural Council Grants for Individuals or Organizations (click link for guidelines: Up to $5,000
Cambridge Arts participates in the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s annual Local Cultural Council grant program, which offers funding to individuals and organizations for cultural projects, public art, ticket subsidy programs, cultural field trips for children, and other activities. • Organizational Investment Grants (click link for guidelines: $9,000
Cambridge Arts’ Organization Investment Grants provide support for operational costs, sustainability, and resiliency to local cultural organizations that benefit Cambridge residents. Apply at https://cos.slideroom.com.

• 2021 - 2020 Grant Guidelines Published: Mid-September 2021
• Applications Open: Thursday, Oct. 1, 2021
• Public Art and School-Based Proposals Eligibility Deadline: Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, by 12 noon
• Local Cultural Council, Art for Social Justice, and Organizational Investment Grants Application Deadline: Friday, Oct. 15, 2021, by 11:59 p.m.
• Project Review Panels Convene: November and December 2021
• Applicants Notified of Panel Decisions: Mid-January 2022

Jason Weeks, Cambridge Arts’ Executive Director, will hold Grant Writing Virtual Office Hours each Monday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon from Monday, Sept. 20, through Thursday, Oct. 14. All are welcome to attend one or more these virtual sessions. If Mondays at 11 a.m. are inconvenient, we can set up another time that would work for you.

Cambridge Arts Grant Program Report Forms

All projects that receive funding from the Cambridge Arts Grant Program are required to submit a Final Payment Invoice, Final Report & Budget Forms, receipts for major project expenses, and evidence that the event took place and was credited as promised.
