The total renconstruction of the Fire Headquarters building at 491 Broadway is ongoing.
Photos from Monday, January 27, 2025 show the progress of the site work and interior construction.
This building, the home of Engine 1, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Fire Prevention, Tech Services, PSIT (public safety information technology), Data and Comms, the Command Staff and Administrative Offices, was originally occupied in February of 1934.
