In celebration of Women's History Month, join us for a lively overview of feminism, focusing on the experiences of women of color in each wave of the movement, from suffrage to present day. Stephanie Guirand, intercollegiate graduate student studying gender and poverty reduction at the University of London, will discuss some key events and organizations in feminist history, highlighting women of color who shaped the stories and the future.

This program is part of the Women and Words series organized through the Cambridge Commission on the Status of Women. Women and Words! is a community discussion group that meets once a quarter to address a different feminist topic or idea. Local speakers are invited to present and facilitate the discussion.

Desserts will be provided. Free and open to the public.
