Join instructor Michael Winward for this beginner-level ballroom dance workshop. This workshop is designed for solo participants dancing in their living spaces. It will include a brief history, acknowledging the origins of each dance style: Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Cha-cha, Rumba, and East Coast Swing.

Michael is an independent dance artist, based in Boston. He is the founding director of Steps in Time®, an adaptive ballroom dance program serving assisted living and memory care communities in and around Greater Boston. He is the co-producer of Dancing Queerly, an annual festival of performances, workshops, discussions and social dance gatherings by and for the LGBTQ+ community.
