Description

Calendar event image

The Hope Storytelling Project @ the Cambridge Public Library is virtual series of 5 bi-weekly poetry workshops, discussing the theme of hope, in partnership with the Cambridge Public Library. The workshops seek to help participants share their own stories—whether seemingly mundane or life-changing—through poetry, and to create community during this time of social isolation. This workshop will teach participants how to examine poems, and how to write in different poetic forms. Hosted and taught by Harvard students: David Xiang and Alisha Yi. All workshops will take place online 7 pm-8 pm EST.

  • May 27th: Finding Comfort
  • June 10th: On Perspective
  • June 24th: Approaching Emotion
  • July 8th: Being a Witness
  • July 22nd: A New Hope

No prior experience in poetry needed. Everyone is welcome! Participants are expected to attend all five workshops. Please register here. The deadline for registration is May 24th, 2020 at 11:59 pm.
