Description

On Tuesday, July 24th the City will hold an informational public meeting on the issue of noise from train horns at the Sherman Street Railroad crossing. In late June, commuter rail and freight trains resumed sounding their horns in advance of the Sherman Street crossing, after many years of not doing so. This meeting will provide information on steps the City is taking to gain a Quiet Zone designation for the Sherman Street crossing, which will allow the trains to stop using their horns. Additional information can be found on the Sherman Street Railroad Crossing webpage.
