Description

For youth ages 13 and older. Registration required.

Introduces students to the world of robotics using a humanities first approach.  Students use the design process to understand the daily challenges of people with disabilities.  A substantial amount of course time is spent meeting people with disabilities and participating in exercises to develop an understanding of and empathy for the challenges that they face. Students define relevant problems that they would like to address, explore potential solutions and ultimately build robotic prototypes demonstrating their solutions.  Skills learned include human-centered design, coding, 3D-modeling and more. Register here.

Presented in collaboration with Innovators for Purpose.
