Description
All are invited to come learn about leadership, the health of boys and men of color, community building, and more. The event will feature a panel discussion of Cambridge men sharing personal experiences about health; break-out sessions on race, education, and health; and an awards ceremony.
Panelists include Lance Dottin, a physical education teacher and head coach of the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School's varsity boys basketball team; Kyrk Morris, an educator in the Cambridge Public Schools; and Isaiah McLeod, a current men's basketball player at Southern Connecticut State University and former two-time all-state selection at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School; and Omo Moses, founder and CEO of MathTalk.
The Henry A. Lewis III Health Leadership Award will be presented to Michelle Farnum, Assistant Director for Children, Youth and Families for the City of Cambridge Department of Human Service Programs. The Sion Chambers Community Health Award will be presented to Darrin Korte, Executive Director of the Cambridge Community Center.
This event is a collaboration of the Men's health League, the Men of Color Task Force, and the Putnam Avenue Upper School.
