The Economic
Development & University Relations Committee will conduct a public hearing
to discuss the potential for a City-based Cannabis Social Equity Program,
focusing on ways to reduce barriers to entry in the commercial Cannabis
industry, particularly for women and minority-owned businesses; review best
equity practices from other states; and promote sustainable, socially and
economically reparative practices in the commercial Cannabis industry in
Cambridge.
