What does hope look like? Tap into your sources of light with local artist and educator Chanel Thervil. In 2016, Thervil created the community-inspired sculpture, EMERGENCE: What does hope look like?, while an Artist Resident at the Boston Center for The Arts. Thervil invited passersby "to contemplate ideas of aspiration and optimism" and her sculpture continued to evolve out of conversations with neighbors and friends. Thervil will speak about this work and lead us through a sculpture workshop where we create a “Hope Chest” based on our own ideas of hope and those we glean from our community, family and friends.
