Got old meds taking up space at home? Don't flush them—it's bad for our water! You can safely dispose of unwanted prescriptions, over-the-counter meds, and vitamins at the city’s biannual medication take back event. Personnel will be available to accept the medications. The event is hosted by the Cambridge Police Department and Cambridge Public Health Department. 

Additionally, residents can dispose of unwanted medications at these locations and events:

Medication Disposal Kiosks
Cambridge Police Station
Front Lobby
125 Sixth Street (East Cambridge)
Available 24 hours a day

CVS Pharmacy
36 White Street (Porter Square)
Available 24 hours a day

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day
Saturday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Field Street lot at Danehy Park (enter via Fern St.)
