    • Learning Circle: Introduction to 3D Printing

      Join a Learning Circle, a study group for learners who want to complete online courses together, in-person. Courses are peer-supported and will be facilitated by a librarian. In this Learning Circle, we will learn the basics of 3D modeling in Tinkercad, a free online 3D design program. We will explore the tools and features of Tinkercad one by one, and then use them to create complex geometry. Participants will have a chance to print one 3D model by the end of the course. Knowledge of how to use a mouse, keyboard, and the internet required. Laptops will be provided. To register, email sbtkacz@cambridgema.gov.

      Photographer Steve Babineau has spent the last 45 years accumulating hundred of thousands of photographs of the Boston Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox, as well as special event and concert images from the Boston Garden and TD Garden. He also serves as campus sports photographer for UMASS Lowell and Boston University. His decades of work and involvement as an employee, contractor, and fan have paid off in diamonds. Since 2007, "Babs" has earned championship rings with all five mentioned organizations he works for. No other photographer in North America has accomplished this. His work photographing the NHL was singled out by the league in 2007 when the league acquired his collection of 350,000 images. His iamges have appeared in countless magazines, year books, sports cards and promotional items though the years. Celebrate hometown teams with Steven Babineau at the CPL on May 14.
