On-Site outside of 2 Houghton St.
National Grid has been working on a gas main issue at the corner of Houghton St. and Prospect St. While they have attempted to permanently seal the leak, it has been determined that this section of pipe and valve will need to be replaced. Their engineers are in the process of developing a long-term plan to address this, and have been monitoring the situation daily to ensure there is no safety risk.
We would like to invite you to a community meeting to discuss this plan on Tuesday, June 5th 6PM-7:30PM on-site in front of 2 Houghton St. The focus of this meeting will be to hear neighbors’ concerns and provide information and a schedule for a repair plan. We encourage you to attend, as we value the feedback we receive from Cambridge residents.
