      Free course for teens! October 2 - December 18 Tuesdays 3:30pm - 6:30pm Cambridge Public Library 449 Broadway Primary Program Activities: Introduces students to the world of robotics using a humanities first approach. Students use the design process to understand the daily challenges of people with disabilities. A substantial amount of course time is spent meeting people with disabilities and participating in exercises to develop an understanding of and empathy for the challenges that they face. Students define relevant problems that they would like to address, explore potential solutions and ultimately build robotic prototypes demonstrating their solutions. Skills learned include human-centered design, coding, 3D-modeling and more. Ages Served: Open to students 13 and older. Genders Served: An equal number of boys and girls will be accepted. Eligibility: Students interested in Design, Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship. No more than 2 excused absences allowed. To Enroll: Register online bit.ly/ifprobotics2018-19 Transportation: Students and/or their parents can arrange transportation from CPS Upper Schools to CRLS on an after-school bus.
