The second session of the the Cambridge Public Library series on Mindfulness will focus on applying mindfulness to parenting. Parenting is one of the most challenging adventures we can experience. Even the most calm, experienced parents can get rattled when their child intuits just the right buttons to push. This class will offer an opportunity to explore and practice mindfulness in day to day parenting. In each class participants will consider their own experiences as well as those of the children they are raising. Participants will also learn about compassion and humor as essential requirements for parenting.
This event is held in collaboration with the Center for Mindfulness at UMass Medical School.
