      Innovation in the 21st Century requires people who are as creative as designers, as tech savvy as scientists and engineers and as driven as entrepreneurs. The Doers Lab is where our approach and guiding principles (Skill Building, Exposure and Guidance) are manifested. It is essentially an innovation lab preparing students to address the needs of people in the real world. This event is part of a series that requires pre-registration.       On Thursday, April 4th, please join other adults for the Cambridge Public Library's first Death Café - an evening of open, lively, and insightful discussion about death. While not a support group nor a venue for bereavement, a Death Café seeks to provide an unscripted, non-judgmental platform for those wishing to explore the many facets of this often taboo subject. Come with an open mind, a healthy curiosity, and a willingness to share your thoughts, feelings, and questions with other like-minded individuals. Please join us at 6:30 pm for socializing and refreshments, followed by a prompt event start at 7:00 pm. Led by experienced Death Café facilitator, Andover, MA resident, Richard Davis.       Join author Ted Reinstein as he discusses his book New England’s General Stores: Exploring an American Classic. Reinstein shares the rich and colorful history of this iconic institution, how they figured in the rise of early American commerce, why they began to fade, and why -- like another New England icon, the diner -- they have begun to come back and even be re-invented and re-imagined for a new era. Told with anecdotes from a variety of local landmark stores across the region, the presentation is accompanied by the award-winning photography of Art Donahue.
