      NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING Removal of Public Shade Trees City of Cambridge, Department of Public Works Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 87, Sections 3 and 4, a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. at the DPW Main Conference Room at 147 Hampshire Street, Cambridge, Mass., to consider the removal of the following public tree(s): 1. Binney Street (East of Sixth Street Connector) – Removal of 2 (14.5” & 13.3”) London planetrees for a new curb cut, private property development, and streetscape improvements. Location will be replanted. 2. 36 Cambridgepark Drive – Removal of 4 (3.7”, 3.9”, 4.2”, & 3.8”) red maples for private property development and streetscape improvements. Location will be replanted. The tree(s) identified above have been posted for public inspection. Any objections to their removal must be submitted in writing to the City Arborist, prior to or during the hearing.       The River Street Reconstruction Project will upgrade the subsurface infrastructure while developing a new surface design for River Street, the bus terminal area at River and Magazine Streets near Central Square, and Carl Barron Plaza. Join the project team for an informative tour of Urban Design conditions and local businesses along River Street on Tuesday, June 11. The project team will be leading the tour of key locations along the corridor.
