      Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited for an afternoon of musical peformance and exploration! Mai Nguyen (18) is a flutist from Cambridge, MA, currently taking a gap year. She has performed with the Boston Youth Symphony and NEC’s Youth Philharmonic, and has also attended BU’s Tanglewood Institute and the Vancouver Symphony’s Orchestral Institute. At her former high school, Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, she founded the Chamber Music Collaboration. Currently, she leads the Greater Boston Music Outreach and works in the Boston Symphony's Education and Community Engagement Department. Besides music, Mai enjoys painting, cooking, and writing. Amelia Bronfman (17) is a clarinetist and a senior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. She currently performs with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra and the CRLS Orchestra, Concert Band, and World Jazz Ensemble. In the past, she has attended the Boston University Tanglewood Institute and Interlochen Arts Summer Camp. In her spare time, she enjoys running, playing tennis, and reading.

      December Read: White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo Reading Interests: The group concentrates on fiction, memoirs, and popular nonfiction. Some of the past selections include: Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng, The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander, and Transatlantic by Colum McCann. Requirements: A love of reading and talking about books. The group is casual and informal. Copies of the book are available at the Main Library Question and Answer Desk.
