    • Bullet Journaling Workshop

      Bullet Journaling During the COVID-19 Pandemic From Monday, April 13, anytime A 30-minute workshop and reflection on how bullet journaling can be a coping strategy during times of change. This online presentation is in place of an in-person bullet journaling workshop that was scheduled for April 7 and was to focus on creative ways to decorate and use a bullet journal. It is intended for those that are familiar with the basics of bullet journaling. Instructor Greta Kuriger Suiter is the processing archivist at MIT’s Department of Distinctive Collections, where she arranges and describes archival materials for ease of researcher use.     • Virtual Family Story Time

      We invite children and their grownups to join us from home for 20-25 minutes of songs, stories and rhymes. Caregivers are asked to participate in the program with their children--it will be as important as ever to model movement and song for your little one during this virtual session. Plan to join in, sing along and move around! Register below. Zoom link will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins. Virtual Family Story Time is free and open to the public and is not recorded. We can accommodate up to 100 logins.

      The Cambridge Biosafety Committee meeting meets on a monthly basis so that members may conduct its oversight activities as granted under the Cambridge Recombinant DNA Technology Ordinance (Chapter 8.20) and the Cambridge Biosafety Regulation of 2009.

      The Cambridge Public Library STEAM Academy, in partnership with local non-profit organization Innovators for Purpose (iFp), is launching Passion & Pathways Talks, a free webinar series for teens. Each Thursday teens will have the opportunity to learn from designers, scientists, engineers, business professionals and others, who will share their stories and career pathways. Speakers will address questions such as: "What’s most interesting about your job? What was your pathway to your field? What skills are needed to pursue work in your field?" Teens can ask follow-up questions to get an insider's view of possible career paths. Two amazing speakers will kick off this speaker series: Jaime Casap is the Chief Education Evangelist at Google. Jaime evangelizes the power and potential of the web, technology, and Google tools as enabling and supporting capabilities in pursuit of creating powerful learning models. Stephanie Couch, PhD is Executive Director of Lemelson-MIT Program. Stephanie leads Lemelson-MIT's charge inspiring young people to pursue creative lives and careers through invention.
