Kids Books to Go (Valente)

Borrow a bag of pre-selected library books for your kids and teens! Drop by this pop-up event outside your neighborhood branch and pick up a bag of 3-5 library books for your young readers. Title selections will be curated by Cambridge Public Library Youth Services Librarians. Please wear a face covering and maintain 6 feet of distance between yourself, Library Staff, and other patrons. Bins will also be available for library returns.

Community Yoga with Cap Aguilar

Join us for a virtual community yoga class every Sunday in August from the comfort of your own home with instructor Cap Aguilar! Registration is required. Zoom link will be sent out prior to class. Cap Aguilar (she/they) is a mindfulness and yoga teacher. A lifelong social justice educator, they believe we can transform ourselves and the world we live in by connecting to our breath in a safe, inclusive, trauma-informed learning environment. Keep Reading and Keep Learning! The Cambridge Public Library invites children and families who are picking up lunch at Cambridge Summer Food Program sites near our branch libraries to also take home a book of their own to keep during the week of August 10. The Valente Branch Library will have books available at the King Open School lunch site (840 Cambridge St.), while supplies last. One book per child, while supplies last. These books are provided by the Cambridge Public Library Foundation. Please wear a face covering and maintain a social distance of 6 feet or more from library staff.
