      Keep Reading and Keep Learning! The Cambridge Public Library invites children and families who are picking up lunch at Cambridge Summer Food Program sites near our branch libraries to also take home a book of their own to keep during the week of August 10. The O’Neill Branch Library will have books available at the Peabody School lunch site (70 Rindge Ave), while supplies last. One book per child, while supplies last. These books are provided by the Cambridge Public Library Foundation. Please wear a face covering and maintain a social distance of 6 feet or more from library staff.

      Become Your Dreams: History of Hip Hop Dance Celebrate the art and movement of hip hop through a funky blend of locking, breaking, popping, tap and house dancing, vocal percussions, D.J.ing, and modern and traditional dance forms. We invite children and their grownups to join us from home for a live workshop presented on Zoom. Register below. Zoom link will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins. Virtual Summer Reading Programs are free and open to the public and are not recorded. If you register but later find you cannot attend, please remember to cancel your registration to make space for others. Summer Reading is sponsored by the Cambridge Public Library Foundation, Friends of the Cambridge Public Library, East Cambridge Savings Bank, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
