We are now accepting returns of any Minuteman Library Network materials at the Boudreau Branch, generally on Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Leave your items in the large basket outside the door. For your health and safety, please do not touch any other items in the returns basket.
It may take up to one week for items to be removed from your card. During the COVID-19 crisis, no overdue fines are being charged on any materials checked out of Cambridge Public Library locations.
You may also return any Minuteman Library Network materials via the Main Library outside book drop (available 24/7). We are also offering limited return hours at other branch locations, subject to scheduling changes. Please check the library calendar or call the Main Library at 617-349-4040 for up-to-date information on return hours at all locations.

We invite children and their grownups to join us from home for 20-25 minutes of stories and hands-on activities from the Cambridge STEAM Initiative's STEAM@Home collection available on Find It Cambridge.
Caregivers are asked to participate in the program as they will be exploring STEAM with a variety of materials! Gather activity materials before Story Time if you plan to participate in the hands-on activities.
Register below. Zoom link will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins.
Virtual STEAM Story Time is free and open to the public and is not recorded. If you register but later find you cannot attend, please remember to cancel your registration to make space for others.
Puff and Go: Designing a Person-Powered Vehicle
If you would like to participate in the hands-on activity for Story Time, please gather the following materials:
Straws
Plastic or paper grocery bag
Index or business cards
Aluminum foil
Paper cups
Pasta boxes
Anything in your recycling bin (clean it first)
Tape
Scissors
Other ideas: Wax paper, construction paper, washers, wooden dowels, corrugated cardboard, ballpoint pens

Borrow a bag of pre-selected library books for your kids and teens! Drop by this pop-up event outside your neighborhood branch and pick up a bag of 3-5 library books for your young readers. Title selections will be curated by Cambridge Public Library Youth Services Librarians. Please wear a face covering and maintain 6 feet of distance between yourself, Library Staff, and other patrons. Bins will also be available for library returns.
