  We are now accepting returns of any Minuteman Library Network materials at the Collins Branch, generally Mondays and Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Leave your items in the Book Drop, located near the library's backyard. It may take up to one week for items to be removed from your card. During the COVID-19 crisis, no overdue fines are being charged on any materials checked out of Cambridge Public Library locations. You may also return any Minuteman Library Network materials via the Main Library outside book drop (available 24/7).   Girls Change the World Virtual Story Time

  Join us for a celebration of Women's History Month. We invite children of all genders and ages and their grown-ups to join us from home for 20-25 minutes of stories. Caregivers are asked to participate in the program with their children. Register below. Zoom link will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins. Virtual Story Time is free and open to the public and is not recorded. If you register but later find you cannot attend, please remember to cancel your registration to make space for others.

  STEAM Academy: Design Studio

  Online,

  STEAM Academy: Design Studio is a partnership with Innovators for Purpose. The Design Studio is a teen-powered design and innovation studio that deploys fresh youth-inspired solutions to real problems for real clients. Working collaboratively with designers, technologists, makers and other professionals, youth weave the physical and digital worlds together to create immersive experiences with enduring impact. We like to think of it as a teen-powered consultancy analogous to design firm IDEO. Past clients include Cambridge Redevelopment Authority, Cambridge Public Library and MIT. Participants will hone their “creative doing” skills while working on client-based projects. Internships are open to students 14-18 years of age who reside in Cambridge, with a limited number of paid stipend positions available. This is a three-month long program meeting twice a week.
