    • Virtual Family Story Time

      We invite children and their grownups to join us from home for 20-25 minutes of songs, stories, and rhymes. Caregivers are asked to participate in the program with their children--it will be as important as ever to model movement and song for your little one during this virtual session. Plan to join in, sing along, and move around! Register below. Zoom link will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins.       In 1969, a Harvard archaeology graduate student named Jane Britton was killed in her off-campus apartment in Cambridge. Her murder remained unsolved until late 2018, when police announced a break in the case. We Keep the Dead Close is author Becky Cooper's ten-year pursuit for answers. Join us for a conversation with Cooper as she discusses her research into a murder that gripped the nation more than 50 years ago. Registration is required.     • Inkscape 101: Leather Bookmark

      There's nothing quite like a good bookmark to make opening up a book all the more exciting. Learn the fundamentals of using Inkscape to design and edit images for a bookmark. You'll also be introduced to our in-house laser cutting machines. Participants who wish may share a completed design file to be made into a bookmark from recycled leather* in The Hive. Patrons can arrange to collect their finished bookmarks at Contactless Pickup. Inkscape is a free application that can be downloaded from the internet. Basic computer skills are necessary for this course and it is recommended that you download the software in advance of the event.     • Bike Maintenance Basics

      We all know that bicycling is a great way to get around town, keep fit and reduce your carbon footprint. Please join us for a virtual workshop to cover how to maintain your bike so that all of your rides are safe and smooth. Our knowledgeable instructors from MassBike will go through the basics in an hour-long presentation followed by Q&A to cover how to check your bike's ABCs (Air, Brakes, Chain). You'll come away with a bit of home mechanic know-how so you can check the condition of your bike and also fix it when things start to go awry. Registration is required.
