In 2017, Cruz released her debut album Tejido de Laurel, that went on to climb to the top of the charts within Puerto Rico's most important music lists. After two years of spreading her sound in and out of Puerto Rico, including popular festivals in the US such as SXSW and LAMC, the singer-songwriter started 2019 with a NPR Tiny Desk Concert and the release of a new single “Véngole” featuring Gaby Moreno. That year also included a tour in Mexico to promote "Véngole" with the purpose of raising awareness about the reproductive health of women. At the national level, she has been part of the Banco Popular de Puerto Rico Special for two years, presenting the project in festivals such as the traditional Claridad Festival, Magna Music Fest, MECA Art Fair, among others.
