      We are now accepting returns of any Minuteman Library Network materials at the Boudreau Branch, generally on Mondays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Wednesdays, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Leave your items in the large basket outside the door. For your health and safety, please do not touch any other items in the returns basket. It may take up to one week for items to be removed from your card. During the COVID-19 crisis, no overdue fines are being charged on any materials checked out of Cambridge Public Library locations. You may also return any Minuteman Library Network materials via the Main Library outside book drop (available 24/7). We are also offering limited return hours at other branch locations, subject to scheduling changes. Please check the library calendar or call the Main Library at 617-349-4040 for up-to-date information on return hours at all locations.

      We invite children and their grownups to join us from home for 20-25 minutes of stories and hands-on activities. Caregivers are asked to participate in the program as they will be exploring STEAM with a variety of materials! Gather activity materials before Story Time if you plan to participate in the hands-on activities. Register below. Zoom link will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins. Virtual STEAM Story Time is free and open to the public and is not recorded. If you register but later find you cannot attend, please remember to cancel your registration to make space for others.

      Have you attended one of our virtual design workshops or developed a project idea on your own that you would like to bring to life using some of the tools in The Hive? Virtually "drop-in" to The Hive for assistance from our team to use design tools such as Google Drawings, Tinkercad, and Inkscape to develop your project. Basic computer skills are necessary for this program. Computing devices are available for reservation at Contactless Pickup: Takeout Technology. Register below. Zoom link will be sent to registrants one hour before the program begins.

    • VOICES Concert Series with Andrea Cruz

      Join us in celebrating Women's History Month! VOICES, a concert series celebrating the beauty and power of the voice, will be featuring the magical and talented vocals of Puerto Rican artist Andrea Cruz! Andrea Cruz is a celebrated Puerto Rican singer, composer, and guitarist. In 2017, Cruz released her debut album Tejido de Laurel, that went on to climb to the top of the charts within Puerto Rico's most important music lists. After two years of spreading her sound in and out of Puerto Rico, including popular festivals in the US such as SXSW and LAMC, the singer-songwriter started 2019 with a NPR Tiny Desk Concert and the release of a new single “Véngole” featuring Gaby Moreno. That year also included a tour in Mexico to promote "Véngole" with the purpose of raising awareness about the reproductive health of women. At the national level, she has been part of the Banco Popular de Puerto Rico Special for two years, presenting the project in festivals such as the traditional Claridad Festival, Magna Music Fest, MECA Art Fair, among others. She was awarded a MASS MOCA Residency this past fall.

Caregivers are asked to participate in the program with their children. Plan to join in and sing along! Register below and a Zoom link will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins. Virtual Pajama Story Time is presented by the Cambridge Public Library and the Center for Families. It is free and open to the public and is not recorded. If you register but later find you cannot attend, please remember to cancel your registration to make space for others.
