      Interested in making your own vinyl stickers? Learn the fundamentals of using Google Drawing to design and edit images for customized stickers. You'll also be introduced to our in-house vinyl cutter machine. Participants who wish may share a completed design file to be made into a sticker in The Hive. Patrons can arrange to collect their finished stickers at Contactless Pickup. Google Drawing is a free web-based application. Basic computer skills are necessary for this course.     • Safe Streets, Safe City Meeting

      Community leaders will update the public on the recent gun-related violence in our community, and it is a continuation of the City’s efforts to bring together area stakeholders to determine what steps must be taken to decrease opportunities for violence in our city. All members of the public are welcome to attend (meeting will be recorded to allow for future viewings by those who could not attend).

      April 6th Selection: Samuel Beckett, Waiting for Godot Reading Interests: We concentrate on Great Books in the following areas: a long novel over the summer, two sections of poetry and short stories, a book of the Bible, a Shakespeare play, an ancient and modern drama, a work of science, a smaller work of fiction, an even smaller work of fiction, and a rotating mix of politics, philosophy, and religion. Authors read in the past five years include Dickens, Keats and Yeats, O'Connor and Munro, Ecclesiastes, Sophocles and August Wilson, Darwin, Austen, Duras, The Federalist Papers, and Arendt. Requirements: Just two: read the scheduled work and participate in the discussion. Copies of the upcoming book are available at the Main Library Question and Answer desk. Registration is required.
