    • Join CPD for Coffee with a Cop

      This event represents unique opportunities for community members to informally meet with your Police Commissioner and other police personnel in a neutral location to discuss community issues, address questions, build relationships and, of course, drink great coffee.

    • Read to a Dog (O'Neill)

      O'Neill Branch, 70 Rindge Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140

      Read with a cuddly friend! Trained therapy dogs provide warm and non-judgmental reading companions for new or experienced readers up to age 14. Registration for each 10-minute time slot is required and begins on Wednesday September 29 by calling or visiting the O’Neill Branch (617-349-4023).

      Interested in podcasting, audio production or video production? The Hive is home to two state-of-the-art recording studios. Become familiarized with the basics of the equipment and software in these tools. Contribute to our community-generated media project and become badged to use these spaces for your own projects.     • Green Street Reconstruction Project Community Meeting

      Online,

      Green Street, between Pearl St. and Landsdowne St., is scheduled for upcoming street and sidewalk reconstruction as part of the City’s 5 Year Plan. The Department of Public Works and the City’s Community Development Department will be hosting a virtual community meeting on Wednesday, October 6th from 6PM-7:30PM to discuss the Green Street Reconstruction Project.

    • Vinyl Cutting 101 (Main)

      Interested in making your own vinyl stickers, signs, or images for transfer to tshirts and other textiles? In this workshop you will learn how to use our Roland Camm-1 GS-24 vinyl cutter and get badged to use the vinyl cutter. You will also customize a sticker and cut it on our vinyl cutter.       Join us for a special online story time with four talented North Cambridge authors. Adria Karlsson (My Sister Daisy, Capstone Press 2021), Kaija Langley (When Langston Dances, Simon and Schuster 2021), Sara Levine (A Peek at Beaks, Milbrook Press 2021) and Alison Goldberg (I Love you for Miles and Miles, Farrar, Straus and Giroux 2017) will read from their books and answer questions from young readers. Register below. Zoom link will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins. This program is free and open to the public and is not recorded. If you register but later find you cannot attend, please remember to cancel your registration to make space for others.
