    • How to do Business with the City of Cambridge Workshop

      Online

      Location: Online via Zoom. Attend this workshop to learn more about how to do business with the City. Items covered include how to become a vendor, how to respond to a solicitation for quotes, and how to respond to a bid. This workshop is free to Cambridge businesses. Registration is required.

      Read with a cuddly friend! Trained therapy dogs provide warm and non-judgmental reading companions for new or experienced readers up to age 14. Registration for each 10-minute time slot is required and begins on Wednesday October 13 by calling or visiting the O’Neill Branch (617-349-4023).

      Innovators for Purpose (iFp) Studio is a teen-powered design and innovation program where teens channel their energy and creative vision to imagine and build a better world. Blending art, design, science, technology and storytelling within a social justice framework, teens engage in real-world client-sponsored projects. Mondays and Thursdays, Sept. 27 - Dec 23 (Learning Lab) Innovators for Purpose (iFp) is a Cambridge-based nonprofit that inspires high-potential, diverse young people to discover their passions, develop innovative mindsets and cultivate marketable skills to solve problems they care most about. Summer Studio teens are funded in part through the Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program. The Cambridge Public Library STEAM Academy is part of Cambridge STEAM Initiative's efforts to enhance and expand students’ access to quality STEAM learning experiences. Made possible by generous support from the Eric and Jane Nord Family Fund and Verizon.

This month's book selection is also available as an e-book and as a digital audiobook through Hoopla. This event is onsite at O'Neill, with the option to attend virtually.
