    • Outdoor Story Time (Central Square)

      Join us for a half-hour of stories in the plaza outside the Central Square Branch Library, Franklin Street side, weather permitting. For ages birth-5 with caregivers.

    • Outdoor Songs and Stories (Main)

      Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      Put on your dancing shoes and head over to the Main Library! We'll sing and move together, and share a story or two. Children of all ages and their grown-ups. This program will be held in Joan Lorentz Park on the lawn outside the Main Library. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled. Please call 617-349-4038 for more information.

    • XR Lab 101 (Main)

      Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      Extended reality (XR) opens the door to worlds and experiences outside the everyday through virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality equipment. Test drive our Microsoft HoloLens augmented reality glasses, Structure Sensor 3D scanner, Merge headsets, and more. Registration is required. You must complete Hive Safety Training or Hive Safety Training & Glowforge 101 before registering for this workshop.

    • 3D Printing 101: Design and Creation, Pt.2 (Main)

      Learn how to create objects in digital space and fabricate those creations using our Sindoh 3D printers in this 2 part series. Before taking this workshop: Complete Hive Safety & Glowforge 101 Create a free Tinkercad account at www.tinkercad.com In part 1 of this course, you will get hands-on experience running the 3D printer, and gain fundamental 3D modeling skills using Tinkercad. In part 2, you will create your own customized designs, and practice setting up your own 3D print construction. Note: This is a badging course for 3D printing. Only those who sign up for part 1 of this series can participate in part 2 the following week. You will be badged at the end of the part 2 workshop. Create a Tinkercad account at www.tinkercad.com prior to arriving. Parents may need to assist users under the age of 18 to create an account prior to arriving.
