    • City of Cambridge and De Novo Immigration Legal Screening Virtual Clinics

      This FREE monthly clinic offers participants a consultation with an immigration attorney and the chance to learn more about how immigration law affects them and their families.

      Central Square Branch, 45 Pearl St., Cambridge, MA 02139

      Join us for a half-hour of stories in the plaza outside the Central Square Branch Library, Franklin Street side, weather permitting. For ages birth-5 with caregivers. Following the City of Cambridge's guidance on public gatherings, all Outdoor Story Time attendees over the age of two must wear a mask and physically distance.

    • High Beginner ESOL Class (Virtual)

      Join us for an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Class. This class will be taught at a high beginner level. No testing is needed, but registration is required.       Music. Movement. Story. Join your librarians outside for 15 minutes of fun! Children of all ages and their grown-ups. This program will be held in Joan Lorentz Park on the lawn outside the Main Library. In the event of inclement weather, this program will be canceled. Please call 617-349-4038 for more information.       We invite children and their grown-ups to join us from home for 20-25 minutes of songs, stories and rhymes to wind down the day. Feel free to wear your favorite cozy pajamas! Caregivers are asked to participate in the program with their children. Plan to join in and sing along! Register below and a Zoom link will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins. Virtual Pajama Story Time is presented by the Cambridge Public Library and the Center for Families. It is free and open to the public and is not recorded. If you register but later find you cannot attend, please remember to cancel your registration to make space for others.
