    • Outdoor Baby Lapsit (Main)

      Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      Just for you and the baby! Enjoy time together with other parents, caregivers and babies to learn, play, and develop language and motor skills. Come prepared to sit outside on the ground one-on-one with your baby in your lap. This program will be held in Joan Lorentz Park on the lawn outside the Main Library. In the event of inclement weather, this program will move indoors, where seating is limited. Please call 617-349-4038 for more information.

    • Fresh Pond Nature Walk (Collins)

      Collins Branch, 64 Aberdeen Ave., Cambridge, MA 02138

      Join us on the second Monday of each month for a 45-minute relaxing walk of Fresh Pond with Park Ranger Tim Puopolo! No two weeks are the same in nature, and Tim will share his insights about what's growing, changing, and blooming in the neighborhood. The walk will meet in the courtyard of the Collins Branch (64 Aberdeen Ave.) and leave together towards the pond at 10:15am.       Put on your dancing shoes and head over for a morning of singing and dancing! For children of all ages and their grown-ups. This program will be held outside of the O'Neill Branch Library.     • Hive Safety Training (Virtual)

      In this workshop, you will learn about our makerspace, how to use our resources, and how to keep safe in The Hive. Registration is required. The Zoom link will be sent out an hour before the workshop starts. Before taking in-person workshops in The Hive, all makers must bring signed copies of The Hive User Agreement and Waivers.

    • Patio Project: Gravity (Valente)

      Valente Branch, 826 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA 02141

      Join us outside in front of the Valente Branch Library (826 Cambridge St.) for activites for all ages! Paint harnessing the power of gravity, or defy gravity by making your own helicopter. In the case of rain, this program will be held inside in the Community Room at the Valente Branch.

      June selection: Girl, Woman, Other by Bernadine Evaristo A book discussion group for adults at the O'Neill Branch Library, reading a mixture of fiction and nonfiction. Past titles include Gathering Moss by Robin Wall Kimmerer and Cherokee America by Margaret Verble. Print copies are available for pickup at the O'Neill Branch Library. This month's book selection is also available as an e-book and as a digital audiobook through Hoopla. O'Neill Branch Book Group will continue to be offered both in person and virtually for the time being. If you wish to attend virtually, please register for the zoom link.
