      We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for 20-25 minutes of songs, stories, and rhymes. This program will be held in the backyard of the Collins Branch Library. In the event of inclement weather, the program will move indoors. Please call 617-349-4021 for more information. In recognition of Juneteenth, today's Story Time will center Black Joy through our book selections. All are welcome to attend.

      In this workshop, you will learn about our makerspace, how to use our resources, and how to keep safe in The Hive. Registration is required. The Zoom link will be sent out an hour before the workshop starts. Before taking in-person workshops in The Hive, all makers must bring signed copies of The Hive User Agreement and Waivers.

Hear the story of the day news of freedom came to Galveston, Texas, through the eyes of a fictional character Valerie created and calls Ma'lizzy. Learn about her life before that day, and what happened to her and her family after. All ages are welcome!

      We invite children and their caregivers for 20-25 minutes of stories and songs. Recommended for children ages 3-5. This program can accommodate 45 people. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The entire party must be present to receive a ticket. This program starts promptly. Join us in the Collins Branch courtyard for an afternoon of gentle yoga with Cambridge-based Carol Faulkner. Carol will guide us through a 45-minute period of movement, stretching, and reflection. We will move our bodies slowly through introductory yoga poses. All abilities are welcome. Please bring your own mat, towel, blanket, or piece of clothing to practice on. Don't have something to use?       Learn how to create objects in digital space and fabricate those creations using our Sindoh 3D printers in this 2 part series. Before taking this workshop: Complete Hive Safety Training Create a free Tinkercad account at www.tinkercad.com In part 1 of this course, you will get hands-on experience running the 3D printer, and gain fundamental 3D modeling skills using Tinkercad. In part 2, you will create your own customized designs, and practice setting up your own 3D print construction. Note: This is a badging course for 3D printing. Signing up for part 1 of this series registers you to participate in part 2 the next day. You will be badged at the end of the part 2 workshop.
