Join us in this seven-week Tai Chi practice, which focuses on the mind and body connection. Tai Chi is a fluid sequence of movements choreographed in a low impact routine.
Sifu Mynor Diaz has been learning and teaching Tai Chi classes for over 20 years. He has taught classes at five VA Boston Healthcare System locations and at Senior Centers.
This is an in-person event.

All ages are welcome to join us as we observe birds at Danehy Park. As we explore the urban outdoors, we will discuss birdwatching tips, how to identify an unfamiliar bird and learn a little bit more about the birds we share our outdoor spaces with. A limited supply of binoculars will be available. Registration is encouraged, but not required.
The walk will meet at the O'Neill Branch (70 Rindge Ave.) and leave together towards Danehy Park at 5:45 pm.

Note: The Epilog Zing laser cutter and Glowforge laser cutter require separate trainings. You must participate in the Glowforge workshop in order to operate our Glowforge Pro laser cutter.

September's Read: A Fire Upon the Deep by Vernor Vinge
Reading Interests: The group concentrates on science fiction and fantasy. An advanced reading schedule is published each fall. Example selections include: Neuromancer by William Gibson and The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch.
Requirements: A love of speculative fiction and a desire to talk about books. The group is friendly and informal.
How to get the print book: Copies of the print book are set aside at the Main Library Question and Answer desk on the ground floor. Visit the Main Library at 449 Broadway during service hours and a staff member can help you check out a copy.

Albino Mbie is an award winning musician, guitarist, singer, composer, sound and mixing engineer born in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, a country in southern Africa known for its rich musical and cultural heritage. His music incorporates his musical experiences from Mozambique, the U.S., and many other places around the world, combining rhythmic patterns and musical concepts to create a unique Afro-Pop and Moz-Jazz sound.
HobArt Goulart is a singer/songwriter/comedian originally born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and currently living in Cambridge. HobArt's music encompasses several styles from Bossa Nova and Samba to Pop and R&B, paying homage to all immigrants, refugees and other minority groups anywhere in the world. He often plays as a trio with piano and saxophone.
This program is supported by the Cambridge Public Library Foundation and is hosted in memory of Janet Axelrod.
