  Love in Metal: Abraham Megerdichian Machined Metal Miniatures

  Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

  Join us for the first major art exhibit in Cambridge of Abraham Megerdichian's metal miniatures on display at the Main Library from September 19th to October 14th. Lifelong local machinist, Abraham machined from solid scrap metal his interpretations of everyday objects, and gave them away as gifts to family and friends. After Abraham died in 1983 his pieces were put away, where many of them lay until 2013. Since then Abraham’s son, Robert, has had pieces from the collection exhibited at nearly 20 venues in New England and beyond. Also on exhibit are professional photographer Scott Sutherland’s photographs of the artwork. The artwork is on display throughout the Main Library - in the lobby, on the second floor, in the Cambridge Room, and in the Children's Room. Join us for a curator talk by Robert on October 12 at 6:30 pm in the Cambridge Room.

  Outdoor Baby Lapsit (Main)

  Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

  Just for you and the baby! Enjoy time together with other parents, caregivers and babies to learn, play, and develop language and motor skills. Come prepared to sit outside on the ground one-on-one with your baby in your lap. This program will be held in Joan Lorentz Park on the lawn outside the Main Library. In the event of inclement weather, this program will move indoors, where seating is limited. Please call 617-349-4038 for more information.

  Outdoor Sing-Along (O'Neill)

  O'Neill Branch, 70 Rindge Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140

  Put on your dancing shoes and head over for a morning of singing and dancing! For children of all ages and their grown-ups. This program will be held outside of the O'Neill Branch Library.   Equipment and Studio Reservations (Main)

  During this reservation period, anyone who has completed Hive training and is badged to use equipment or studio(s) can reserve Hive equipment or studio spaces. Staff will assist participants as they are able.

  Senior Music Jam Session

  Hosting the sessions will be Cambridge native and saxophonist Bobby Tynes and his all star rhythm section.

  Fall ESOL Class (Valente)
