    • Morning Market: The Work of Women an Exhibition by Lori Lander

      "Morning Market: The Work of Women," by Cambridge atist Lori Lander, is a celebration of women at work in daily markets across several continents. This exhibition of 12 oil paintings will be on display at the Main Library, from October 15 through November 15. The opening reception will take place on Thursday, October 20, from 4-6 p.m. in the Community Room. Lander will give a lecture on Monday, November 7, from 5-6 p.m., in the Lecture Hall. Tai Chi is a fluid sequence of movements choreographed in a low impact routine. Sifu Mynor Diaz has been learning and teaching Tai Chi classes for over 20 years. He has taught classes at five VA Boston Healthcare System locations and at Senior Centers. Due to the popularity of this series we expect partipants to all the classes. This is an in-person event.

Innovators for Purpose (iFp) is a Cambridge-based nonprofit that inspires high-potential, diverse young people to discover their passions, develop innovative mindsets and cultivate marketable skills to solve problems they care most about. Summer Studio teens are funded in part through the Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program. The Cambridge Public Library STEAM Academy is part of Cambridge STEAM Initiative's efforts to enhance and expand students’ access to quality STEAM learning experiences. Join us to connect with other transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming youth; their caregivers and allies; and those who want to be better allies to the LGBTQIA+ community!
