    • Half-Day Hangout: Pride Drop-In Activities (Valente)

      Valente Branch, 826 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA 02141

      Join us after school gets out for a Pride-themed drop-in hangout to relax with some simple activities. No registration is required; this event is for children of all ages and their caregivers. This program will take place in the Community Room at the Valente Branch Library. For more information, contact the library at 617-349-4015. The Pride Flag Art Workshop with artist and activist Noah Stang-Osborne has been postponed until further notice. Please check back for an updated calendar event.

    • Open Gameplay with One Up Games (O'Neill)

      O'Neill Branch, 70 Rindge Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140

      Join us for our video game free play event hosted by Massachusetts eSport and gaming venue, One Up Games! Explore virtual worlds with the Oculus Quest, or play the latest titles on XBOX Series S, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch! This is a drop-in event recommended for ages 7+.

    • Hoop Troop (Main)

      Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      A high energy, fun-filled hooping workshop. Recommended for children ages 5 and up and their caregivers. Afterwards, join us on the lawn for a visit from the ice cream truck!

    • Outdoor Gardening Fun (Boudreau)

      Boudreau Branch, 245 Concord Ave., Cambridge, MA 02138

      Listen to stories, plant flowers for the Library, and grab seeds to take home! Children of all ages welcome. Rain date will be Wednesday June 14th at 3pm.

    • After School Stories and Crafts (Central Square)

      Central Square Branch, 45 Pearl St., Cambridge, MA 02139

      Join us in the Children's Room for a fun craft and related stories. For more information, call 617-349-4010. Recommended for ages 5-10.

    • Read to a Dog (O'Connell)

      O'Connell Branch, 48 Sixth St., Cambridge, MA 02141

      Read with Bowie the Therapy Dog from Pets & People! Therapy dogs provide warm and non-judgmental reading companions for new or experienced readers of all ages. Registration for each 10-minute time slot is required and begins on Thursday June 1. Sign up by phone or in person at the O'Connell Branch (617-349-4019).
