    • Fabric Sculptures by Barbara Ward Armstrong

      Witness for yourself the beautiful fabric sculptures of Cambridge native Barbara Ward Armstrong. Barbara was an innovative artist whose life-sized African-inspired multi-textured fabric sculptures, called “soft sculptures,” redefined 20th century artforms. Four of her wonderful sculptures were recently donated to the Cambridge Public Library. These sculptures will be on display in the Main Library Teen Room on Friday, February 7th and Saturday, February 8th as part of the Library's activities for Black History Month. All ages welcomed.

      Looking for a space to unleash your creativity? Join instructor Marguerite White, Friday afternoons January 10 through February 28, for two hours each week to work on a drawing or watercolor project of your choice.     • 3D Printing 101: Game Piece Design (Main)

      Learn how to create your favorite game piece in digital space and print it out using our Prusa 3D printers. Before taking this workshop: Complete Hive Safety Training Create a free Tinkercad account at www.tinkercad.com You will get hands-on experience running the 3D printer, gain fundamental 3D modeling skills using Tinkercad, and earn your 3D Printing certification for future reservations in The Hive. Create a Tinkercad account at www.tinkercad.com prior to arriving. Parents may need to assist users under the age of 18 to create an account prior to arriving. You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop.

    • Kids' Zine Collective (O'Neill)

      What's a zine? And how do I make one? Come find out! Kids are invited to explore making, copying, sharing, and swapping zines. Making zines will include activities like writing, drawing, and using a photocopier. For kids ages 7 and up. Snacks are provided!
