    • Colors of Ukraine: Folk Art and Resilience (Main)

      Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      In this exhibit, curated by Sophia Sushailo, Ukrainian folk art demonstrates a people's "heroic stoicism and resilience." The artworks on display were created in the Petrykivka tradition, using an intricate brush made with cat fur. Viewing times are as follows: Sunday, 2/23: 1-4:30 p.m. Monday, 2/24: 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, 2/25: 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, 2/26: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, 2/27: 4-7 p.m. Friday, 2/28: 9-10 a.m. Saturday, 3/1: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, 3/2: 1-4:30 p.m. Monday, 3/3: 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, 3/4: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, 3/5: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, 3/6: 4-7 p.m.

    • Hive Safety Training (Main)

      Are you interested in using The Hive? In this workshop you will learn about our makerspace, how to utilize the resources we offer and how to keep safe in The Hive. Find out what you need to get started as a maker in The Hive here. Completion of Hive Safety Training is the entry point to making, innovating, and collaborating in this space. Makers must also sign The Hive User Agreement and Waivers.

    • 3D Printing 101: Game Piece Design (Main)

      Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      Learn how to create your favorite game piece in digital space and print it out using our Prusa 3D printers. Before taking this workshop: Complete Hive Safety Training Create a free Tinkercad account at www.tinkercad.com You will get hands-on experience running the 3D printer, gain fundamental 3D modeling skills using Tinkercad, and earn your 3D Printing certification for future reservations in The Hive. Create a Tinkercad account at www.tinkercad.com prior to arriving. Parents may need to assist users under the age of 18 to create an account prior to arriving. You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop.

      Cambridge parents and caregivers can explore over 50 local summer camps, programs, and providers.

    • Equipment and Studio Reservations (Main)

      Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      During this reservation period, anyone who has completed Hive training and is certified to use equipment or studio(s) can reserve Hive equipment or studio spaces. Staff will assist participants as they are able.

      CambridgeSide Parking Garage, Level G1, 100 CambridgeSide Place

      Try an E-bike! Join the Community Development Department, along with local bike shops, Community Pedal Power, and CambridgeSide and try out various brands and models of e-bikes.
