Business Outreach

In an effort to increase communication with the business community, two officers assigned to the Community Relations Unit are tasked with establishing and maintaining relationships with the various businesses and groups throughout the City. The purpose is to foster dialogue which enable the businesses to reduce the risk of theft, shoplifting or breaks through target hardening by trained Crime Prevention Officers.

Each member of the Command Staff has been tasked with establishing liaison with the various Boards and Commissions throughout the City to foster an open dialogue and transparency regarding the delivery of police services. More importantly, the staff members encourage issues/concerns to be brought forth and discussed so that we may enhance our ability to understand each segment of the community and better serve the entire City. This has empowered numerous groups to work collaboratively with us to have their voices heard and greatly enhanced their quality of life. Examples of these liaisons are:
