Cambridge Police Youth Boxing and Fitness Program

Boxing Gloves

The Cambridge Youth Boxing and Fitness Program is a collaboration between the Cambridge Police Department Youth & Family Services Unit and the Cambridge YMCA.

The training is for learning the sport of boxing and fitness, and is available to middle school age youth (6th grade and above). The program is free.  After completing our required enrollment forms, participants are welcome to join our classes at any time and can attend whenever they like.  We provide all boxing equipment, but recommend that participants wear comfortable clothing and sneakers or some type of flat shoes.

Our classes take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00pm-5:30 at the Cambridge YMCA (located at 820 Mass Ave in Cambridge).  Youth who wish to enroll in the program must have their parent or legal guardian sign the CPD Youth Boxing and Fitness Registration Form and the YMCA Waiver Form, which are both available below.

Boxing is a tremendous workout that provides individuals and groups with a disciplined and exciting way to get in shape and lose weight.

For more information,or to sign up, please contact the Cambridge Police Youth & Family Services Unit by email.

You can also view and print a registration form by clicking here. You will also need to fill out a YMCA Youth Program Participant Form, available here
