The program offers children an alternative to facing criminal charges for their involvement in lighting fires, while also providing an educational opportunity to inform them of the hazards of fire. The 10-week program is completely free for participants. Over the course of the program, participants learn about fire science, peer-pressure, anger management, arson, fireworks, civil and criminal liability, fire statistics, and safety and survival tips.
