Richard Benoit, 57, 1145 Washington Street in Boston, was arrested and charged with Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise. Benoit was observed by the victim's employee, placing several items into his pockets. He then moved past the registers without any effort to pay for these items. Benoit also admitted to stealing to police.

A Cambridge resident reported a unknown suspect stole his tires and seat to his mountain bicycle on 08/22/2019 between 12:00am and 5:00am while it was locked to a bicycle post on the side walk of Mass Ave.

A homeless male was observed by witnesses and Cambridge Police actively engaged in inhaling vapors for effect, in violation of the MA General Laws. The incident was reported to the police, after witnesses observed the act occurring in the area of Alewife Park Drive.

Cambridge Police placed Kristin Anderson, 37, 4 Joppa Way in Gloucester, under arrest for a warrant out of Gloucester District Court for Larceny under $1,200. Anderson was operating a vehicle and made an improper turn at Massachusetts Avenue and Prospect Street and will subsequently be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for Improper Turn, No Inspection Sticker, Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance, and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked Registration.

Cambridge Police placed Irving Santiago, 49, 190 Brookline Street in Cambridge, under arrest for Assault and Battery and Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon, after witnesses and victims and the suspect were broken apart after a fight by the Cambridge Police.
