Fall Schedule for Contactless Holds Pickup Service

Cambridge, MA, September 3, 2020 --- Cambridge Public Library has released a fall schedule for Contactless Holds Pickup Service and Material Returns Service that will begin after Labor Day. The schedule includes two new locations for contactless pickup, O’Neill Branch and Valente Branch. Contactless Holds Pickup Service was piloted at the Central Square Branch in mid-August and the Main Library in mid-June.

Scheduled Fall service hours for Contactless Holds Pickup and Material Returns at the below locations are:

  • Main Library: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Central Square Branch: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Thursdays, from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • O’Neill Branch: Wednesdays, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Thursdays and Fridays, from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Valente Branch: Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Material Returns are also being accepted at Boudreau, Collins, and O’Connell Branches generally during these scheduled times:

  • Boudreau Branch: Mondays and Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Collins Branch: Mondays and Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • O’Connell Branch: Tuesdays and Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Schedules are subject to change. Patrons may check the calendar on the Library website to find the most up-to-date return days and times for their neighborhood branch.

Patrons returning items should look for the designated return bins outside of the main entrance at branch locations except for Central Square Branch, where designated return bins will be on the Franklin Street entrance.
