Incomplete Victory: Why 2020 Wasn't Really the Centennial of Women's Suffrage

On Wednesday, June 2, at noon, join us for a workshop with Dr. Laura Prieto, professor of History and Women's and Gender Studies at Simmons University, as we look beyond the surface of the 19th amendment, which granted women the right to vote. Although white women were enfranchised in 1920, voting rights were not as easily recognized for women of color. Laura will discuss the issue through the individual stories of women and their continuing fight to vote in the decades since 1920. Registration is required.

Tween/Teen Virtual Hangout

Tweens, teens, and their caregivers are invited to drop in on Wednesday, June 2, at 4 p.m. Say hello to your librarians, get book recommendations and research assistance, find out about the Library's virtual offerings, and bring your suggestions! Registration is required.

Wellness for Seniors: Let Your Yoga Dance®

Wellness for Seniors: Let Your Yoga Dance® is a virtual class on Thursday, June 3, at 11 a.m. Breathe, stretch and dance your way to a blissful body, joyous heart and a steady, quiet mind! Open to all levels and abilities. Registration is required.
