Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Megan Marshall, will join a group of Cambridge Neighbors members over Zoom for an intimate and informal virtual book discussion, examining her book The Peabody Sisters, winner of the Francis Parkman Prize, the Mark Lynton History Prize, and a finalist for the Pulitzer in 2006. This book is a wonderful look into nineteenth century life as it examines the lives of Elizabeth, Mary, and Sophia Peabody, three remarkable sisters who, in Marshall’s words, “ignited American Romanticism,” and who helped shaped the thinking of their day.  Cambridge Public Library patrons are invited to attend and listen in on what promises to be an interesting conversation.

Cambridge Neighbors is a nonprofit, membership organization serving residents age 60 and over of Cambridge, Belmont, Watertown, Arlington, and Somerville by providing  a variety of practical services and supports, social opportunities, and resources to enhance quality of life and well-being throughout the aging process. Its goal is to help members remain at home and connected to and valued in our communities.
