The oud, a pear-shaped lute with 11 or 13 strings, is a staple of Arabic music. The kamancheh, a long-necked lute with 3 or 4 strings and a resonating chamber made from gourd or wood, is important in Persian music. Join us for the first session of a music series exploring the oud and kamancheh with artists, Ghassan Sawalhi and Farzin Dehghan.
