Summer Reading: Wee the People

11:00 AM - 11:45 AM Friday, August 7, 2020

Location:
Online
Cambridge

The body is a powerful pathway to freedom -- a vessel for storytelling, community, healing, and resistance in the face of injustice. Join Wee The People with special guest Jean Appolon Expressions (JAE) for an ALL-AGES interactive workshop of stories and movement celebrating Ibo, the Haitian dance of freedom that honors the breaking of chains from slavery. Get ready to move, feel, and learn with Breaking the Chains!

We invite children and their grownups to join us from home for a live program presented on Zoom.

Register below. Zoom link will be emailed to registrants one hour before the program begins.

Virtual Summer Reading Programs are free and open to the public and are not recorded. If you register but later find you cannot attend, please remember to cancel your registration to make space for others.

Summer Reading is sponsored by the Cambridge Public Library Foundation, Friends of the Cambridge Public Library, East Cambridge Savings Bank, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
